STUDENT & FACULTY VOICE AT THE TABLE
Students, faculty, and staff alike are the lifeblood of the campus community. They are the boots on the ground and who better to learn from about the WCC experience and investment in education. I will make their voices validated not only by the Board of Trustees, but by the college president and their administration as decisions ultimately affect students, faculty, and staff.
It is imperative that the community is aware of information that leads to decisions making at Waubonsee Community College. Knowing who is interested in the advancement of the college needs to be made transparent to students, staff, and faculty. I will fight for responsiveness relating to administrative functions and work to have college matters visible to the community.
In spite of COVID-19 tuition needs to remain affordable to students. This means, allocating budget funds to alleviate some of the burdens on the student and as a result of some of the inequities further presented by the pandemic. This will translate to retention and degree completion by providing resources that meet students' needs.
